Dude: are you 50 or 15?????

Heh. They just used the term, rather disparagingly, on Top Chef this week.

C’est ça. I assume in this sense it’s being used to mean something like a “chick” bar.

Huh, thanks. Pretty much all of the non-chain bars around here are either sports bars or dive/biker bars. (And even some of the chain bars are sports bars/restaurants, like Primantis) I’m glad I live in a sports town.
Not that I’m bothering with the Super Bowl. I hate both teams and it’ll suck no matter who wins. :frowning:

Amen.

I find it amusing to see the OP in another thread complaining about the Vikings fans “effeminate Skol” chant and then show up here in this thread with this OP.

Edit: it looks like he’s not a Philadelphia fan after all. I thought he was from there, though?

Happily married wife here. As we’ve all been taught from childhood, honor your commitments. It’s simple, and it’s kind. You’d already made plans with your friend, so that’s what you should do. Your wife can join you two, I guess, although even that will change the whole mood for your friend who will then - unless the three of you are very close - become the odd man out. But change the venue to please your wife? No way. Let the change in plans result in your friend having to watch the game with somebody else, or alone? Never.
