In my Vegas visits the rule as I look around has been anything from stereotypical tourist slob to at best “business casual” sportcoat/buttoned shirt/khakis sort of get-up. Higher-end nightlife venues seemed to more want your outfit (and for that matter your person and face :p) to be fashionable/stylish rather than in strict compliance to the traditional degrees of formality.
Work for the right company.
One company I used to work at sponsored concerts, and I got free Stones tickets. Nosebleed seats, true, but I wasn’t complaining.
Thanks, y’all. We got back from our trip yesterday and had a great time. We opted for shorts and t-shirts during the day. I went with Dockers and polos for the evening shows.
Penn & Teller were great. They even pose for pictures with guests in the lobby after the show. Zumanity was… different. Lots of boobies , which were nice. Carrot Top was hilarious. One nice surprise was a show called “Recycled Percussion” at Planet Hollywood. I highly recommend that and it is great for kids of all ages, too.
The biggest disappointment was the Fremont Trip Experience. The cab rides there and back cost about sixty bucks. We walked up and down the street and found it to be noisy and sort of trashy. I would have liked to do the zip line, but there wasn’t anyone for me to ride with. Next time, I’ll take my son or son-in-law and we’ll do the superhero highest zip line.
