In Metal Gear there’s a character named “Solid Snake” and a character named “Liquid Snake”, is there a character named “Gas Snake”?
If Tifa married Cloud Strife what would her married name be?

No
Well, Tifa is a strong independent woman, I imagine it would stay “lockhart”, which is her maiden name.
The third clone was named “Solidus,” and had been the president of the US.
Yeah, that’s stupid.
Which is stupid?
a) The question?
b) The name “solidus”?
c) That Hideo Kojima can spend all this money on high production values and long cut-scenes but can’t spare a dime in his budget to get a halfway-competent editor who will smack him upside the head and inform him that–especially when trying to write a coherent multigame narrative–less is frequently more, and just because you have a plot idea that seems cool it doesn’t mean that the idea has to end up in your game come Hell or highwater because you will end up with a frequently nonsensical storyline that stretches creduility past the breaking point even with taking into consideration the suspension of disbelief that is commensurate for the world the story takes place in?
d) All of the above?
Well, d less a, really. Trivia questions aren’t stupid, just trivia.
Hideo Kojima really needs to stay on his meds, I think.
I think he was on them when MGS3 was made because the plot actually made sense and was both cohesive and coherent.
Unfortunately, it was really just planting the seeds for him to go even further off the deep end in MGS4 where he decided that he had to somehow work the events of MGS3 into the plotline.
