Back in the days before I bumped into Cecil on the street, and the SOB got me hooked on this damn Dope, I posted regularly on the Bulletin Boards for the Michican Womyn’s Music Festival.
I have attended twice, and think it is an experience that should be explored by as many women as are even remotely interested in it. So do a little reading/googling about it, it’s history, it’s controversy, it’s uniqueness.
This is all IMHO, of course. I don’t want to make this a debate, though it may very well end up there.
I’m more interested in a howdy from any dopers who perhaps have attended, or know someone who did?
Though I have endless stories with only two festivals under my belt, I do not, nor do you, have to go there. This doesn’t have to be an expose. Sometimes, what happens in Michican can stay in Michigan. cough 
I realize that just having “dyke” in the thread title is going to result in a lot of hits from folks who have never heard of Michigan, nor would they care to hear about it again if given a choice, but since diversity is the spice of life, we’ll see what random nuggets float our way from the periphery.
PS - If anyone does desire debate about the festival, please toss a post onto GD, and I will gladly and curiously participate.
