I used to log on here as scr4 but I screwed up my account - I tried to change the e-mail address and entered an incorrect one. So the old account is locked till I respond to the confirmation which of course I didn’t receive. I realize I may currently be in violation of the board rules by registering another account, but I’m not exactly maintaining two accounts. Is there any way the admins can restore my old account to my old e-mail address (the same one I’m using for this account) or disable it and let me use this new one? I tried e-mailing to webmaster@straightdope.com but it’s been about 10 days and I haven’t received a reply.
Email the admins scr4/ keV, especially TubaDiva.
OK, the old email account should now be functional.
Not sure why your emails to webmaster didn’t get to anyone, but you might try direct emailing to an Admin next time (heavens forbid!) something like that happens?

Thank you! Good to be back. Sorry for that extra account I created.
I wanted to e-mail the admins directly but I couldn’t look at their profiles without logging in. Are the admins’ e-mail addresses posted elsewhere? The only one I could find was the webmaster address which I e-mailed to twice, one week apart, and got no responses.
