Easy Like Sunday Morning: Calling All Parents, Advice Needed

Sophie, I’m thrilled to hear that Dyanne is behaving like a proper two year old in being fickle about the high chair/booster seat. Despite their limitations in fine motor skills, 2yo’s have an amazing ability to interpret the world around them and zig just when you think they’re going to zag. And they’re fast, too! Look down for a second and they’re gone.

Anyway, that’s just what 2yo’s do: push the grey hair buttons (or in my case, the follicle release buttons). Keep smiling - - even in the midst of frustration, take the time to admire their ingenuity.

bare’s post made me think of one other thing about life with young children: If you make it through the day w/o their getting hurt, and w/o your cleaning/wearing/otherwise managing an amazing rainbow of their bodily fluids, you’ve had a successful day.

Come see us in the Big Easy. Oddly enough, especially given our fair city’s reputation, there’s an amazing amount of absolutely GREAT things for kids to do here.
