Eggnog

Reading this thread makes me anxious to go the grocery store tomorrow and get some Lactaid eggnog. And some Jim Beam.

I am now very intrigued by the “egg nog in coffee” concept.

Hm. Might have to pop to the grocery store tomorrow.

One of the few advantages of living in Houston is that we get Promised Land eggnog. It’s the best I’ve ever had, by far. Just delicious.

Yeah, Promised Land eggnog is good.

And it’s been a *looong *time since I’ve tried theirs, but Braum’s eggnog used to be really good, too.

Well, we aren’t in General Questions, so I will not point out that you are factually incorrect.:stuck_out_tongue:

an example of how much I love me some eggnog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv-oUsHvAZY

Pasteurized eggs are available at just about every single grocery store chain in the Southeastern US. I buy them all the time. I’m sure that’s also the case in other parts of the US and Canada.

I’ve never touched the stuff. I probably never will.

Well Starbucks “cheggnog” chai/eggnog drink turned out to be quite good, though incredibly rich. I should have opted for the small.

Kroger’s regular flavor store brand is spot on. Top marks all the way around: consistency, spices, flavor, and aroma are all as good as I’ve ever had. I choose to use Jim Beam’s Rye (why did no one tell me Beam made an unbelievably excellent rye!?) and it mixes spectacularly. I’ll be taking Kroger nog and rye to my gatherings this season.

Due to all the eggs, eggnog makes amazing french toast. I only buy a quart for the season; it’s so rich I can’t drink it at any other time of year.
