Normally I’d just add this to the digital distribution thread, but since I think there are probably a decent few people interested in trying this, and the price is significantly lower than anything we’ve ever seen, and it only lasts 24 hours, I decided to make a thread.
It switched to a buy-to-play model a few months back, so there’s no longer a subscription fee, so it’s a pretty cheap MMO to get into if you wanted to try one. During the free beta player recall weekend thing they did a while ago, it seems reasonably polished and fun.
If you want to play together, post your name on here. I’ll have to figure out what mine is later after I install it.
This is a game that I would like to have except that I am completely unwilling to pay $60 for it. It didn’t go on sale enough during the Steam Summer sale. This sale has the right price for it. And of course, a product that doesn’t even exist in physical space goes out of stock. Great. Maybe in another six months we’ll try again.
Dang; I just now saw this thread. Like DWMarch, I’m unwilling to pay $60 for a download of this game and it didn’t go on sale at Steam, so I’m bummed I missed this. Thanks for the heads up, tho, SenorBeef.
For anyone who missed out: this is back at GMG today, $12 again with the same code, and appears to be in-stock for the moment. Their website is really slow right now, but I was able to grab it.
I’m starting to get a bit of time behind the hilt this weekend. Still feeling my way through the early stages. I’m a bit surprised how lost I feel in a general “what is going on, and what the hell do I do now” sense. I figured with a lifetime of ES experience + another lifetime of MMORPG experience it would be obvious to me, but I have to look up tips online a lot it seems.
I’m still curious how the ES standard “God of all Trades” mechanic is worked into the game, but I assume it will work itself out.
I agree. I bought at $12 primarily to lock-in my investment at that price. I’ve played about 3 hours, and we still haven’t “bonded”, but I haven’t played enough to fully form an opinion. One thing’s for sure: I’m glad I didn’t pay $30+.
