Election Day Omnibus thread

I never want to hear about Democrats having a “good ground game” ever again in my life. The evidence that any of that door-knocking bullshit matters in a presidential election was always extremely thin (I think I actually once saw a study that, hilariously, found it to very slightly hurt the campaign that does it), but hopefully nobody believes the hype in the future. My fellow liberals are always going to love the idea of ooey-gooey heart-to-heart people-power overpowering the corporate media’s ads or whatever, so it’ll probably come back with a vengeance in two or four years, but I hope I never have to hear about it again.

Without Georgia there are 61 meaningful electoral votes left according the map I am looking at. Harris needs every single one of them to win, she’d have 271 in total.

David Axelrod, while talking about how these key battleground states are still too close to call, just talked about this election in the past tense. Possibly inadvertent, but that’s the atmosphere now at CNN. A Harris win remains mathematically possible, but is now a long shot.

ETA: Trump has significant leads in all three of those states.

They aren’t leaning the correct way in any sort of imagination. This is a complete shit-show. The US has elected an individual that will put personal gain above anything else. He only cares about himself.

“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS … Man, who would have expected the ride we’re all having right now? … The money’s rolling in and this is fun … I’ve never seen anything like this, and this [is] going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It’s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going.”

—Said by Les Moonves, whose loyalties placed shareholders over country. And maybe that has something to do with where we are.

It’s over, the country went for idiot Trump. I’m actually scared as a black man. I have resources but I don’t know this is really bad.

Bro, exactly in the same boat (which in a few months might be back to Africa…)

Absentee and early voting is significantly different than when COVID was literally in the air. There were two significantly different approaches to voting that broke squarely along partisan lines in 2020. Republicans have embraced both absentee ballots and early voting this time after mostly not doing both in 2020.

Different states have different approaches to when they start officially counting those types of votes. It’s a 50 different possible differences change as a ressult.

Maybe the lesson is not embrace the goddamn Cheneys?

He doesn’t give a shit about black, white or any color unless it is orange. He is there to enrich himself and keep himself out of prison. It’s the enrichening part that will fuck us all, black or any color. We are all getting fucked.

I don’t think that mattered at all.

Yes just like I said, a huge mistake.

How many races are uncalled for the House and what are the Dems chances?

Harris wins NM.

I can’t stand Trump, but I also can’t stand the idiot Democrats who are such incompetent politicians that they managed to lose to Trump twice.

The country doesn’t want what the Democrats are selling. How long is it going to take for them to get this message?

Yes, I know how it works. I was asking if anyone could point me to a place displaying that data, like, in one place.

Remember, the candidate can never fail. The candidate can only be failed by the voters.

It’s not him I’m worried about, the country just voted in all of MAGA and everything that goes with it. It may be time to start a new thread.

Again, I was asking for data.

Here is Michigan:
