Sounds like a lot of reports I’ve had to do. Unfortunately, exams always scare me in to doing the assignment.
Questions;
- What is the error associated with your temperature measurement?
- What is the error associated with your resistance measurement?
- Did you do any repeat experiments? If so where are the error bars on your data?
- Did you consult with your professor, TA, Lab assistant about the crap data you were getting? What was their input?
- What are the temp ranges where the resistivity is expected to be exponentially related to temperature? I do see local regions in your plot where you might have an exponential relationship at work.
I hope that was supposed to be funny, because I’m laughing.
It would be more funny if this didn’t happen to 99% of all Masters students…
I like the last line:
I laughed out loud at it.
I’m stuck here writing Paper 1 of 2. My advisor’s insisting that I have Paper 1 to her and my collaborators by tomorrow morning. Paper 2 has a deadline of next Friday. My computer’s acting up - its throwing me error messages claiming that it can’t allocate memory. Anyone with any experience of scientific software running on a Linux machine care to help?
OHh specificly I was talknig about this bit:
Yeah, well as a PhD student, you don’t get any texts. You’re supposed to be the one essentially writing the definitive paper on your subject.
