Elephant Foot Umbrella Stand, Where to buy?

A friend has her house done in early Addams Family. Lots of dead animals everywhere. It is … eccentric.

I want to get her a (fake, a fiberglas) elephant foot umbrella holder or trash can for Christmas. You would think such things would be commercially available.* You would be wrong.

I did a Google and found one. On some sort of scary-looking auction site. Does anyone know where else I could get the fool thing?

As a bonus question, what would be the availability and legality (and cost) of the real deal?

*Along with garden Gnome nativity scenes.

The real deal would either be an antique, and cost you a bundle, or an illegal trade item. A good search might be “elephant’s foot prop”.

Here’s a real one. Only $2000!

I would love to see pics of this house!

“Elephant foot prop” brings us to a real elephant foot stool. (Creepy)

Did you know the Elephant Foot company makes a line of Australian trash compactors and so mucks up my search efforts all to heck?

$600 for a (fake) elephant foot stool from Disneyland.

Closer. Not a trash can/umbrella stand. But closer.

These people may be able to help. (Scroll to the bottom.)

Yeah, I’m coming up null on the umbrella/trash bin hunt. “Foot Stool” is, y’know, punnier, I expect.

Here’s another stool, in resin. I suspect it’s not cheap; Yab does only custom work, AFAIK. But here’s one that looks just like it on sale for $152.

These repros (scroll down) are around $200, less for the “rhino foot” ashtray or peanut bowl. They look more realistic than the ones above.

Thank you. I have sent them an enquiry.

Yep, that seems to got it. Thank you all very much.

If you go down to the National Zoo, I bet they’d be happy to give you plenty of elephant stool. Enough to fertilize a garden.

Oh, wait a minute, wrong stool. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can’t help with the search, but needed to pop in to say that I now must have a Garden Gnome Nativity Scene…

And I finally have an answer the next time someone asks me “What do you want for Christmas?”

It’s like shopping for my Sims, but for real

Here.

Etsy has a taxidermy section. If you can’t find the elephant foot, I’m sure you can be inspired by all manner of other creepy items (squirrel foot earring, anyone?)
Gothic Rose Antiques is a lot of fun to browse through, too. Any Addams Family Chic Chick would be thrilled with something from that site…
Good luck!
