In this thread it looks to me like the usual suspects who claim to be conservatives getting together and beating up on someone who even they admit writes well.
Real conservatives are over in Iraq fighting for their President’s cause. They are taking people with skills, such as dental and law, up to age 70. Conservatives who don’t at least march down to the local recruiter’s office and apply are just cowards.

Um… My comment concerning my own razor-sharp intellect was sarcastic, genius, not literal.
My own limited argumentative skills aside, I’d say it’s instructive that on a board filled with mazy, many sharp people, of whom many have argued with elucidator, not one instance of elucidator conceding error can be found. It’s not a grandiose opinion of myself – it’s a comment on the law of averages.
And to offer up an example of people who have had their minds changed – Left Hand of Dorkness, a liberal, and me, a conservative, have both admitted being on the wrong side of arguments and swayed by the presentation of the opposition in the past.
