This is a question that can only be answered by Manhattan or Chronos. Why am I not receiving email re new postings to a thread which I either started or responded? If for some reason you deleted my name as one who wants such mail, please undelete it.

Seriously, to receive email notification you must do two things:
1. You must turn on "email notification" in your profile settings. Double click on "Profile" in the upper right hand corner of any SDMB page, follow the prompts.
2. You must check the "email notification" box on EVERY post you make where you desire such notification.
As to your second problem, not receiving email, it’s getting bounced back to us as undeliverable. I suspect your email address (your employer, correct?)is behind a firewall and is not accepting email for you. You might want to get a hotmail or yahoo account for this sort of thing.
