Emergency! Sick at home ... What can I watch?

Recovering from an illness, but am still being kept at home by doctors and family. I’m getting bored, and I’m wanting to watch a movie or something, but I don’t want anything too heavy. Any suggestions? Best things are light, contemporary comedies. Sex romps are welcome. Also superhero flicks or scifi. No horror, heavy drama, or musicals, please.

How to Marry a Millionaire is on FoxMO right now.

Black Hole is on SyFy.

Doctor Who on BBC America is what I’d be watching if I was home with didn’t have access to a DVR or DVDs.

27 dresses is sort of light fluffy romantic comedy. I prefer older movies, so my preferred movies are stuff with Cary Grant, or Rock Hudson, you know - 30s-60s stuff.

But I did see 27 dresses and it was sort of cute. I like Gerard Butler, he was in a couple that are cute also, Nim’s Island and The Ugly Truth. He is eye candy in 300 … loincloth FTW =)

Penelope was sort of interesting. There are always the classics, Ghost and Mrs Muir, Jason and the Argonauts, Iron Giant, Labrynth, Legend.

Anything sound good?

The French Open is on this week. Seven hours of mostly new stuff each day.

Darn, for some reason I thought no one was replying. Okay, I check some of this out if I’m still home tomorrow.

I don’t know how deep your movie library runs, but if you have or can find Jerry lewis’ “The Big Mouth” or “The Disorderly Orderly”, that would be good.

Of course, there’s always “The Princess Bride”

Since you have the Dope, I assume you’re online. Fire up Hulu and watch a bunch of TV you always wanted to see but never had the time. Or something nostalgic for you.

A lot of the recent series only have 5 episodes available, but I keep being surprised by finding some show from only a few years ago that’s got most of its run on Hulu.
