The little rascal is actually tipping the scales at…
8 POUNDS!!
That’s right–the kid now weighs more than I did at birth! She is also 20" long. Not too bad for a kid that no one expected to live through the night when she was born.
In development news, she no longer has visits from a Home Health nurse. She has no more physical therapy because the therapist says she’s actually advanced in her physical development (rolling over, holding head straight, etc.) for her age.
She had her initial consultation with the pulmonary specialist yesterday and he says he’ll see her in a couple months after she stops one of her meds–but that he forsees at that point he will officially discharge her as patient of his since she doesn’t seem to need him. She gets her six-month vaccinations next week and then she’ll only go to the pediatrician on a regular well-baby schedule instead of every couple weeks.
Just a small update for you guys. Also, she had portraits taken a few weeks ago and they should be in soon. As soon as they are, I will post them–some of them are just precious!
Wow, 8 pounds AND she’s holding her head up straight AND she’s rolling over! Before you know it she’ll want to wear those low rise pants and bikinis and date boys, maybe even be a cheerleader. (Ha ha! I don’t have a gi-irl!)
Way to go Emma Kate! (And you too Beth, Mistress of Evil.)
