Has anyone heard anything about this? I am at work, and I just got a call from a friend saying she just heard on the news that a bomb sniffing dog had id’d a bomb in the ESB and also Penn Station. Is this true? I haven’t seen it on CNN yet so I’m not sure what to believe.

They have cleared the area around ESB for 5 blocks. That’s all I know for sure.
Dan Rather just reported it, but he kind of acted like it was just a threat. He said they evacuated the area around the building. Then he just went on with the interview he was doing before.
I was watching Fox and was simply told that the ESB and Penn Station were evacuated, and I didn’t know why. I thought it was the asbestos they are concerned about coming from the former WTC.
Per Stone Phillips, who was being pushed back by police from his vantage point near the building, a bomb-sniffing dog made a positive detection on a package in the ESB. Subways being evacuated. That’s all I know for now.
My roommate is on the scene right now. He called me five minutes ago.
A positive detection has been made. The subways are indeed closed. At least five blocks are being evacuated. If he finds out anything new, I will update.
It has now been reported as a false alarm. Traffic is now flowing all around the building.
It’s all clear.
