Fuck’s sake. Another second-half defeat. Whatever goes on in the Ipswich changing room at half-time, it ain’t healthy.
Six games undefeated (4 wins, 2 draws).
And that sequence follows 1 win in the first 10 matches. I’m happy with that.
Spare a thought for Macclesfield Town (not my club but I generally feel sorry for the underdog) who are the only professional club in Britain (not just England) who have yet to win a game this season. Played 17, won 0, drawn 6, lost 11. Less than halfway through the season they already look certain to be relegated from League Two to the Conference. It must really suck to be a Macclesfield supporter this season.
Matter of fact Alive Macclesfield is only about 8 miles from where I live in Cheshire.
As you say it must really suck to a fan of the Silkmen.
One apiece at home to Swansea on Saturday but 'Pool are holding their form well. After a poor 8 points from our first 11 games we have gathered 21 from the last 10. Currently 11th and still poised to strike for a playoff place.
In addition to all this unbearable League One excitement the Seasiders have reached the 3rd round of the FA Cup. After effortlessly disposing of Huddersfield Town (1-0 away) and imperiously sweeping aside the challenge of MK Dons (2-0 away) we now have a home tie against one of two unknown quantities - Aldershot or Basingstoke Town.
Should the team triumph in this fixture then maybe, just maybe, our reward could be a money-spinning tie at the City of Manchester Stadium in round 4.
We draw that, win the replay with 3 goals in stoppage time and it’s Chelsea here we come.
How’s your team doing?
