Another $7.48 sponsorship request from a Charter Member here. I can’t afford to re-up. Encinitas has generously donated a goodly sum of money to me recently (sorry to embarrass you, but no good deed can go unpunished 
), but it all went straight into a combination of rent/paying off debt and I’m still at least a couple thousands of dollars in the hole. Sometimes I wonder how it even happened–I was always in such control of my finances, and then it started with me putting food and gas on my credit card while I was out of a job for the longest month of my life, and then roommates bailed on the power bill, I got some traffic tickets, my gym blocked my cancellation request and all of a sudden it feels like I’m a mile deep and digging fast. Anyway, hopefully I can pay it forward by sponsoring a number of Dopers whenever I get on my feet.
Omi no Kami, it’s great to see a fellow linguistics student here. A thread I started about a year ago asking for insight from linguists fell on deaf ears, and after my recent change-of-major I’ve feared that I may be the only one here.
