Enterprise-Carpenter Street spoilers

Act I:

So, he works at the clinic, and gets people of different blood types for the Repties?

I like the non-Trekkinessitude of it so far, has me anxious.

(Wondering if perp knows about the Lizards, or is he just assuming it’s a creepy human?)

Amazingly cool flyby shot of NX-01! I want this for my screensaver. Any ideas?

Porthos!

Temporal incursions?! That’s an outrage!

Vulcans and puppies! What could be better?

“All the time in the world.” Good one, T’Pol. I like the fact that she can still be logical and doubtful while not being openly offensive. She looks like Trinity in get up.

Act II:

Gone in 60 seconds. The big dog scared them. Driving while using a PDA is dangerous. (I should know.)

The ATM photo is them robbing (borrowing) by using their advance computer thingies. It lasted almost 6.3 seconds.

Who is the creepy guy? I’ve seen him before. Loomis? Lumis? I’ll look him up later. I don’t think he knows he’s working for lizards. He thinks they’re terrorists. Nice touch.

Something happens in 2061 concerning fossil fuels, but the conversation was cut short.

Tonight on Quantum 5-0

Caucasion pool #1, 60% Adenine
African pool #2, 30% Adenine

Boy, work is nothing like this weeks episode!

Act III:

Quantum goes medieval on his ass!

Lots of fun puns in this one. And T’Pol is very serious about avoiding second hand smoke.

The Xindi lizards are using the past as a hiding place to conduct unauthorised research it seems. Why is there always some central gizmo in the machines? Sci-Fi convention, it seems. They also need a lot light apparantly…

Act IV:

Quantum leaps!
So, they took it all with them…
Now this is Time Travel stories should be done! No wonky explanations, just do it.

Denoument:

I like the way they didn’t contaminate the timeline, makes the creep look crazy.

I liked it. It flowed nicely, the ending on Earth was all due to Quantum and T’Pol, Daniels just sent them there. And losing no time in the present was a nice old touch…

A+

3 good eps in a row. Keep it up, guys!

Willie Loomis was the name of the guy who wokred for Barnabas Collins on Dark Shadows.
Vampires, blood, Loomis, get it?

Ah… I knew I recognized the name!
I rented DreamCatcher. So far so SUCK!

Double Feh!
Gee I feel like my old self again, for a moment there I thought Enterprise was about to make my grumpiness a thing of the past luckily B&B have a time travel itch they can’t seem to get rid of.

OK where to start? Gah. So future guy pops on the ship to say this Xindi thing shouldn’t have happened and he knows nothing of it because the ripples haven’t reached his century? Yet he knows about teh Xindi incursion on Earth from a century and a half previous to Quantum’s time line?

Sorry but as my momma once said you can bake it and season it any way you want but you can never mask the tatse and smell of bullshit.

Why the hell do B&B ignore cause an effect in their time travel stories… maybe because they are a bunch of LAZY HACKS!

Damn the medocrity of the drama is pretty bad too. No real choices to make a simple paint by number plot. Xindi are up to no good Quantum and T’pol must discover what they are up to Quantum gets into Phaser fight, Quantum defeats bad guys everything returned to normal, one new piece to puzzle added and everyone looks grim.

The ending bugged me most of all. The police arrive cart off the guy mention the missing people they found and drive away. OOOkayy so anyone notice something strange about this particular Detroit street?

As in it was empty. As in the building is a crime scene and there are no police vehicals around, as in they just all leave his vehical without searching it. You know it wouldn’t have been hard to have one crusier leave with the dude (PS No Clue our friend was seen in Alien Resurection he was the sap walking around with the alien inside him) and show the rest flashing their lights and staying on scene. (come to think of it it is even stranger to have three or four crusiers pick this guy up and all drive away)

By the way an anonomous tip and they immediately arrest the guy without checking ID or anything? Damn police investigation sure will change in the next year.

Anyone notice Quantum selectively not using his tri (or dual) corder when the plot required him to be surprised by something?

Ok some good points, Archer ordering burgers, T’pol kicking the guy in the car (now that is flexible) T’pol’s reaction to the cigarette. Archer’s “It wouldn’t feel right to hit you when you’re tied up” folowed by “Untie him again”

Nothing lost nothing gained, illogical time cause and effect, not setting the adventure in San Francisco. Complete rip off of “City on the edge of forever” return (hell both times the engineer notes they left a second ago)

this barely rates a C-

>>Complete rip off of “City on the edge of forever” return (hell both times the engineer notes they left a second ago)<<
Which is why I said: >>And losing no time in the present was a nice old touch…<<

Yeah, I recognised the creep’s name and his face, just couldn’t place either. Thanks to both of youse.

Sure, it had some nits. Besides, I seem to like the ones everybody else dislike, and vice versa… :dubious:

Cervaise: Yes, there is continuity! Before Archer leaves, he says to Trip, “Try to stay out of trouble.” I assume this means “Don’t get into another accident where you wind up in a coma and I have to grow another you, albeit expendable, from a glob.”

Not bad, not fantastic. The lack of music throughout most of it was a bit odd. A bit more might have helped. The whole opening in Detroit is just a bit unsettling because I’m so used to seeing the ENT folks right away. Speaking of whom…We hardly saw any. I need more Trip!

I thought that was Agent Smith calling on the phone at first; he seemed to have similar cadences. “Misssster Anderssson…I missed you and your blood type.”

Bad Archer, giving Porthos cheese after denying him so many times before. Poor pooch must be very confused.

Damn Daniels, what a pain. How can the ripples in time not have reached the 30th century yet? I can see why he bugs Archer so much.

I’m betting that was one of Shatner’s Dobies in the car.

No seatbelts, of course, just like on the starship.

“We’ll return what we don’t use.” Oh, really, T’Pol? How? By shoving it back in the ATM? That would have been funny!

The drive-through scene was pretty good. Archer must have wolfed his burger down pretty fast because we never saw it.

Archer and T’Pol having a conversation while shooting was rather odd. And so were some of Mike Vejar’s shots.

As I said, not so bad. But not on par with the few previous eps.

I’ll give it a B for now.

Don’t expect any new eps until mid to late January.

The best part was when Quantum ordered a hamburger with just ketchup, cuz that’s how i and all right thinking people order their hamburgers!

I wish the Xidni lizards had released the chemical. Since it was based on the ABO/Rh blood factors, I would be one of the few surviving people! Odd they didn’t release a very small minority of genetic mutants lie outside the eight common blood types.

Next week:

Pirates of the DeathStarbean

Guest star: Johnny Delphic.

I really wanted Gary Seven to show up. Or, since all that time had passed, maybe Gary Eight.

[ul][li]It started like film noir. Then it just became “we gotta shot in the dark so you can’t see much.”[]The Xindi voice box can form English. Is he at the head of his Berlitz class?[]Street smart hooker canget ethered by a John? Was it her first day?[]Archer comments how Daniels told him the Xindi have been on Earth for two months. Wouldn’t that be 150 years ago? “Time flies like molasses, Fruit flies like Berman” or Time propagates slowly through…time and Berman is somewhat rotten.[]At least Archer tells T’Pol to get appropriate clothing, but do you really think fashions haven’t changed much in 150 years and that T’Pol would have a leather coat?[]I liked the non-flashy trip back (and forth) 150 years. As NoClueBoy said, “No wonky explanations.”[]I like T’Pol not being convinced just because she wound up on a street.[]Apparently their preparation was off-screen since T’Pol had maps planned.[]So Archer’s monocorder beeps when cars don’t have alarms, unlocks doors, robs ATMs. It’s a good thing Kirk and Picard said they don’t have money in the 22nd/24th centuries.[]Loved the car boot and the dog. At least it wasn’t ridiculously easy to get a car. Just stupidly easy to drive one. He may pilot a starship, but he was able to master the delicate braking and turning maneuvers easily. He also learned the traffic rules from some unknown source quickly enough not to get them both killed![]Cute cutoff of the sentence about fossil fuels and 2061.[]Loomis was a good opportunist character.[]“Battlestar Galactica” series for sci-fi (which I don’t get :() was advertised. Looks nothing like “Battlestar Galactica”.[]Lucky Archer happened to be one of the last two blood types!:p[]Unhooking the monitors of the victims never activates an alarm.[]It’s real overkill to use time travel to hide while making a bio-weapon.[]Glad the Xindi time-beacon is flimsy enough to break with a phaser blast. They should have protected it more or even given the device an out-of-time-phase protection ability.[]I liked Archer and T’Pol whoopin Loomis.[]Lucky that there were bars on that building for Archer to jump and catch.:p[]The Xindi with the toxin was just about to release it when he was shot at. Couldn’t he just take cover and shoot the top off the virus canister and release the toxin? Being so gung-ho he should have done a kamikaze and broke it any number of ways.[]Cute ending.[/ul]The thing about the blood types, though is that if the captured one person who is AB+ then they have all they really need. Maybe get an O- person just to be sure. That would give them information on all of the forms (and non-forms) for the major blood factors. At the very very least, they would only need an A, B, and AB with one positive and a negative to cover their bases.[/li][sub]Just snuck in time for this. Now I gotta go help put up Christmas lights![/sub]

[li]Street smart hooker canget ethered by a John? Was it her first day?[/li]How would she stop it?

[li]Archer comments how Daniels told him the Xindi have been on Earth for two months. Wouldn’t that be 150 years ago? [/li]One presumes relative to the time Daniels will send them back.

[li]but do you really think fashions haven’t changed much in 150 years and that T’Pol would have a leather coat?[/li]Replicators.

[li]Just stupidly easy to drive one. He may pilot a starship, but he was able to master the delicate braking and turning maneuvers easily. [/li]I didn’t think so. Seemed to drive rather timidly.

[li]He also learned the traffic rules from some unknown source quickly enough not to get them both killed![/li]Watching other vehicles?

[li]Lucky Archer happened to be one of the last two blood types!:p[/li]I’m not sure he was. He attacked before they did anything with the sample.

[li]Unhooking the monitors of the victims never activates an alarm.[/li]Why should it?

[li]It’s real overkill to use time travel to hide while making a bio-weapon.[/li][li]Glad the Xindi time-beacon is flimsy enough to break with a phaser blast. [/li]Yes for both, but it’s TV.

[li]Lucky that there were bars on that building for Archer to jump and catch.:p[/li]If there hadn’t been, he wouldn’t have jumped.

[li] Couldn’t he just take cover and shoot the top off the virus canister and release the toxin? [/li]Perhaps the fan would spread it better.

[li]Cute ending.[/li]Yeah, wasn’t it?

[li]The thing about the blood types[/li]I don’t see why they would need them in the first place, but again, it’s TV.

Good episode.
Time travel without succumbing to meaningless technobabble. Old guy mentions Conan. Archer punches sleaze bag. The ray gun is real. All good stuff.
However, if the Xindi are now capable of time travel, why not just take a piss in the evolutionary goo? Looks like they brought in an end that won’t easily be tied.

What I gathered from from the brief conversation with Daniels, is that the Xindi lizards were being used by some other time travel people. He seemed upset about the odd happenings.

So… now it looks like three time travel factions:

1- The Daniels people.
2- Shadowy Future Guy
3- Whoever is sending Xindi future info and letting lizards time trip.
Remember, it was shadowy future guy who told Quantum of Xindi shit, NOT Daniels. So, SFG doesn’t want Xindi to win either. Or does he? A ruse? Maybe. But, to me, it looks like 3 factions of time people.

“Anomaly” is the rerun for next week, so I’m told.

That’s, um…it.
