I’m not too bothered by it. What really got me to thinking about it all is him mentioning his dad turning fifty and me realizing that mine is 54. Once he hit fifty, he should have quit aging and when my mom hits it in a month, she should too.
i used to think i hadn’t accomplished anything, what with me not having a girlfriend/wife and just a BS from college, but then i realized that just graduating from college got me farther along than my father did, i have a great job (though boring which explains my websurfing here), my job itself is working on cancer research, specifically colon cancer which runs in my family on the men’s side and my father himslef had last year, i’m learning Japanese to help keep my mind sharp, i have friends that i’ve been friends with for 10 years and survived my traveling to different areas of the country, overall i’m doing pretty good. The few things missing pale in comparison to the things that have happened. And i’m only 25, i got years and years left to do the things i feel i haven’t accomplished, I’m sure if you look over your life, you will see it isn’t as bad as you think. And my dad will be sixty-two this year.
Hm… well, I’ve got one friend that I never see despite him living thirty minutes from me, a part time job making $250 every two weeks, a high school diploma, no social life or girlfriend, and… uh… well, that’s about it. I’m your quintessential slacker.
Really, though… that doesn’t bother me. I’m not trying to use you guys as my psychologists. Honestly. 
And to take the talk of off my life or lack thereof: which Trek character are you?.

You should get Phlox to whip you up a starfish/treebat slurpee that will ease the pain.
