Things are looking up.
A rather straight forward adventure story with a standard plot twist, but it appears that we are done with the Temporal Cold War.
Death of a Major Characer, a nice scene between Trip and Archer.
Porthos doesn’t pee on anything.
Enterprise fighting plasma cannon Junkers over New York is worth the price of admission.
There is hope for Coto.
While the timeline is restored, there is no reset button; the characters remember what happened to them. I wonder if the Reset Button isn’t simply a device to avoid paradox.
Anyone who comments about “Avoiding a pair of ducks at Thanksgiving and eatting turkey” loses points.
The fake newsreel of Hitler in NY is good, but one wonders what happened to the Jews in New York. Perhaps Alicia and her friends should have been Jewish.
Anyway, the Temporal Cold War is over.
Onward to the Romulan wars!
^:dubious:^
The timelines are reset in that the Nazis aren’t in the White House and Lenin wasn’t assasinated in 1916, But the crew remembers what happened and Archer still looks as though he’d been run over by a truck.
Does Alicia, indeed, does NY City and America remember it? One presumes not.
So, in the Timeline Resetting that we saw, was that the Bad Timeline scrolling by? Or the Proper Trek Timeline? I ask because one very big thing waas shown in the Timeline, the WTC 9-11 attack. Is that meant to be gone from Trek Timeline? Or is it part of Trek history now?
Actually, despite some horrible acting, it was pretty good. Or maybe I’m just happy Manny killed off the TCW so early in this our final season. Never found out who Shadowy Future Guy was, though. Guess it doesn’t matter now, but wow, is that ever a big thing to leave out of the wrap up.
