Enterprise to have female Andorian

So, I wonder if Tripp will…er, that is, he seems to become involved with alien women…Would it hurt if you got poked in the eye with one of those antennae?

Aren’t they kinda … suckey? I mean like suction cups, that is.

My spoiler thread is better than yours!!:stuck_out_tongue:

Is that “have” in the biblical sense?

I thought it was “know” in the Biblical sense, but I digress.

Suction cups…could you, like, put an eye out or something?

I seem to recall that the deely-boppers were supposed to sense atmospheric cues, such as pheromones and the like. Perhaps she can be sent into heat by the right choice of cologne.

I’ve known girls like that.

By the way, It’s about fricking time we saw the Andorians again! Andorians rock! Jeffrey Combs rocks! Blue-skinned insect women rock into overtime!

Tripp’s going to…have relations with…a BUG?

Well, technically, she’s not a bug unless she’s a member of the order Hemiptera… And they’re very selective. Ya have to either have connections or lots of money to get in.
Ya also have to have sucking mouthparts and thick-based forewings.

Heh heh. Sucking mouthparts.

Pull an eye out.

That would, by the way, make a kick-ass part of the “Enterprise’s erotic King Lear” episode.

You think Tripp’s Mama is going to care about technical?

I’ll bet the female Andorrians are going to have boobs.

Every alien species in Star Trek features females with boobs.

I mean, I understand that a 4-billion-year-old genetic program is supposed to be driving evolution on all the life-supporting worlds so that eventually a species will arise that physically resembles the genetic programmers, but does every alien species have to have mammary glands?! Sheesh!

So that’s why Spock wanted to feel up that Horta!

Hey, Andorians are only partly bugs. All the important parts are mammalian.

Besides, there’s no reason to assume that the character is just going to be incredibly endowed eye candy. She could be the stern matronly type, like the other three or four females in the Star Trek universe.

Wasn’t there a female andorian as on of Lal’s choices to be made as in that episode with Lal (Data’s daughter)?

Opps, just read the actual post (duh). Evidently Suzie Plaskon (K’ehleyr from TOS) has been cast in the role. So evidently they’re shooting for the “wiry, irritating type” of Star Trek woman.

My favorite type, by the way.

“No bite on the cheek for old time’s sake?”
Woof!

I really liked the sky blue Andorians of old. Recent Andorians have had a hue problem, they’re more azure which IMO makes it look like a bunch of actors wearing blue makeup than a people who are blue skinned.
Yeah, I know, but I’d appreciate at least a chance to suspend my disbelief.

When I saw the thread subject, this was the first thing that came to mind.

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

Mmm… nope, can’t help you. You’re on your own.

Minor nitpick, but TOS stands for The Original Series, and Suzie Plaskon was on TNG, which I suppose some younger viewers might think is the original series, if they’ve just heard of Star Trek for the first time.

Crap! Has my evil doppelganger been posting again? Bad, BAD evil doppelganger! Trying to confuse the folks about The Next Generation!

Thanks for the catch, Photopat. I’ll try to keep a closer eye on him.
