Enterprise!

We caught up on all the episodes of Enterprise. I really like this series. I really like the developement of T’Pol and Malcom. It seems to be hitting its stride earlier than Voyager too.
I want to see Tellurites next!

I agree with the shorter “warming up” time. I just hope they get rid of the Archer’s-gonna-do-whatever-the-heck-he-wants-despite-what-T’Pol-says bit soon.

Ahh, the new/old boards.

Hows this for a prediction, tie-ing in Enterprise to TOS:
At the conclusion of of the Romulan War and the birth of the
United Federation of Planets, T’pol gives birth to Sarek, father
of Spock.

Hey, i made that joke, but it got erased, i swaer!!!
^;) ^

Someone needs to inventory the Enterprise threads to find out which ones have Clementined on us (gone and lost forever) so we can make an Enterprise cleanup thread (or convert this into it. Saturday they showed the V alien episode here, i hadn’t seen it before, it was pretty good.

The show was growing on me…BUT, what’s with the re-runs yet again? I was out of town and missed the 2/27 episode so don’t if that was a new one, but last week’s was a re-run, and from the description in my tv guide, sounds like this week’s is too. (Oh, and by the way, I hate T’Pol.)

The first-runs/reruns pattern seems pretty normal to me, from what I’ve seen with a number of other shows. It also makes the viewers more eager to see how they’ll close out the season, which will probably end in May.
I wouldn’t expect to see any new ep’s until early April.

I am really enjoying this show! Much more than Voyager, which I never really liked, except for the Vulcan. Needless to say, I do like T’Pol! And I’m another one looking for the first appearance of the Tellarites; I hope that they won’t leave out one of the founding members of the Federation.

A few somewhat obscure thoughts have occurred to me though: how did Archer get the beagle onto the ship, and … well, where does the dog do his business?! :wally Okay, maybe that’s TMI, but still…

Oh and in a slight hijack, I miss bonkie!

tarragon

I was rather pleased with the last episode, wherein we discover that Vulcans are really psychotic nut cases and that only meditation and this logic thing keeps them from chewing up the furniture.

not seen that episode (i’m in England, we’re only on ep 5ish)
surely we knew that already? Or do you mean that Starfleet discovers it?

Archer, actually.

Whilst…something or other.

Whilst getting tossed across the room…

B-plot was “nerd vulcan has family troubles”
Last week was the V-alien episode i missed the first time it was on, so now it is taped. Also, i was watching Song of the Thin Man, and Nick Charles, Jr. was played by none other than Dean Stockwell, best known as Al from Quantum Leap, and guest starring later this season on Enterprise.
just FYI cuz i know you all care!!

It hasn’t been since “Amok Time” that we saw that what Vulcans really, really want to do is rip your brain out throught your nostrils and eat it.
That’s why they’re veggies.
First Chicken Parmagan and then your brain.
Cool.

Well, there was that Voyager episode where Tuvok traded some of his violent thoughts to some aliens that traded black market violent thoughts. (i would be a gold mine myself!)
^ ^ (violent vulcan smilie)

Vulcan smilies seem to be losing ears (probably due to mechanicxal rice pickers). Maybe Jesus can heal them!!!

According to the official website, there will be new episodes on March 20 & 27. The show on 03/27/02 features the Ferengi.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t we get the distinct impression when the Ferengi first showed up on ST:TNG that this was the first time humans had ever seen them?

Zev Steinhardt

Psychotic Vulcans?

What do you call a Vulcan who hasn’t renounced emotion and
embraced logic?

A Romulan.

You are correct. However:
[li]Berman & Braga have demonstrated with their handling of the Klingons that they don’t intend to stick religiously to established continuity. And…[/li]
[li]Supposedly, the plot is structured to maintain continuity. We don’t have spoiler-hiding capability here, but I’ve shrunk the following text and made it a less legible color so it’s easier to skip. Swipe it with your pointer to make it more readable.[/li]
Apparently, in the upcoming episode, the Ferengi board the Enterprise. As I understand it, nobody actually sees them, at least not clearly. At any rate, there’s not enough interaction for the crew of Enterprise to know exactly who they’re dealing with.

That’s just what I’ve heard, though. In any event, continuity is thus supposedly “preserved,” inasmuch as that has any meaning in the new universe.
I guess we’ll all see for ourselves next week, huh?

That may have been the impression, but Picard fought a battle with them and Data quoted information describing them as “Yankee Traders”, so they were known of. I do not remember the statement that they had not been seen before. Certainly the Ferenghi who sought revenge on Picard from the Stargazer disproves that.

According to sources somewhere, Our Heroes won’t know who or what the Ferenghi are for whatever comfort that is. The Ferenghi were already mentioned by the two races with the disease who wanted warp drive.

Picard had no idea who he was fighting. It wasn’t until the episode where the father seeks revenge that he learns the vessel he destroyed was in fact Ferengi. Also the Discussion of “Yankee Traders” actually was gathered from other species that… Oh damn I have to go outside and get some fresh air and perhaps a light
