How do you display enthusiastic approval?
I like to give a thumbs-up (sometimes one, sometimes two) accompanied by a Hollywood smile and, ‘Aces!’
Yep. One thumbs up. But from the hip and about waist level. Like when my daughter is really kicking ass in her swim relays and my son finally got the hang of starting out on his bike by himself from a standing start. 
Two thumbs up are when I’m being sarcastic about something absurd that I hear at work. :rolleyes:
Try it with the ‘Aces!’ It’s fun.
(And yes, I do it because it’s funny. Like when I used to say ‘Groovy’ before it got popular again.)
I never really thought about it before, but I clap and say “yay!”.

I never really thought about it before, either … I don’t remember the last time I enthusiastically approved of something, but I think for me it’s a big smile that reaches my eyes, accompanied by a heartfelt “excellent!”
