Entourage season 6

Thoughts upon seeing season six of Entourage:

  1. Probably the absolute worst season for the Eric, Vincent, and Turtle storylines. Vinnie’s career turns completely around off screen. How boring. Frankly, I don’t give a crap about E’s love life. I want to see him in professional mode. Sloane is just about the most boring love interest ever. Just have him get married and settledown (all off screen of course) and be done with it. And when Turtle stops bring a disgusting pig he’s basically nothing at all.

  2. Ari, Mrs. Ari, Lloyd, and Drama were gold as usual, but they’re not enough to carry the show. A full season of just their shtik would get old fast.

  3. Klein was okay, but that character has played out. What now?

  4. I’m not getting the time line of the show. Let’s take Scorsese’s Gatsby as an example. Doesn’t it take 2-3 years to get from casting to premiere? So is it like 2011 or 2012 in the show now?

  5. This show loses a lot when they cut down on gratuitous nudity.

  6. I still want an explanation for why Weinberg released Medellin to DVD without recutting it first. Surely that would have been worth the investment. A savvy producer like him could have benefitted from cult hit status.

  1. I miss Billy Walsh and Nicky Rubenstein. And Bob Ryan. Over the top Hollywood caricature is the bread and butter of this show. More stuff like Seth Green. The Tom Brady stuff was a waste. He wasn’t funny at all.

Tell Sloane I said “What Up”

Yeah, Seth Green cracks me up.

I still don’t but that Vince is an A lister. Adrian Grenier just doesn’t have that kind of presence. But I can overlook that as part of the suspension of disbelief.

He’s a triple threat.

But yeah, I agree with everything in the OP. The worst of it all are the trite Turtle story lines.
