Ephemeral classical/opera music used in a lot of movies/TV, multiple (I think) female vocalists

I’m looking for a particular track that is used in a lot of movies and TV, often to evoke an ephemeral type mood. Like if a guy was dreaming he was floating on a cloud. It may have multiple females singing, or it may not.

I cannot think of a single movie/TV example, unfortunately. But I’ve heard it enough that a fragment of it is a wicked tenacious earworm for me right now.

Maybe O mio babbino caro? It gets used a lot.

No, but thanks.

Sounds like the Flower Duet by Delibes. See 1:16 in this video. Is that it?

That’s it, thanks!

FYI, those are some fine lookin’ opera bitches.

By “ephemeral”, did you possibly mean “ethereal”?

Nice piece of music. I’ve seen the opera it’s from.

It’s a lovely duet, but I’m doomed to forever associate it with Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon making out while David Bowie rapidly ages.

I always wondered what the proper term is for those singers. “Opera bitches.” Thanks, ignorance fought!

Well, they do usually only use a short clip…

Thank you for that link Rodgers01. It’s a song I’ve heard a hundred times but had never seen sung until now.

Yes, that’s what I associate the song with too. (Hey, a straight woman has to come in and provide a link? NSFW, btw.)

I associate this music with a video I saw on YouTube with an artist doing… something disgusting… with paint, while two singers sang in the background. I won’t link the video, to save everyone’s sanity. I wish I could erase that image from my mind.

Still nice music, though.

Dagnabbit, yes. (And I meant “Dagnabbit”, not “goddamnit”)

That’s why they call me the “really good at words guy”. But not for long times, only ethereally.
