Epstein Files => Trump Impeachment & Conviction?

And so begins the “it has always only been the Democrats” messaging.

Yep. I don’t think there will be anything there big enough for criminal charges. Maybe just enough for the “Ick, he actually hung around Epstein and seemed to approve of this.” But that can be shrugged off. And likely will be. Give it a month, tops and then something else will come along. Maybe war with some country or other.

And voters will buy this, because they have the memory of a goldfish.

Here’s the thing - Democrats welcome the exposure of predators in our midst instead of covering them up. We’re not the ones who ran interference for Larry Craig, Mark Foley, and Dennis Hastert. If it turns out Bill Clinton was a client of Epstein’s, then fuck him. He’s not our messiah.

It may come as a surprise to those who’ve spent the last decade kissing Trump’s ass, but unlike them we don’t believe our elected officials are ordained by God to rule over us and that any negative aspersion is a Satanic plot against them. We have standards.

I dont think there is anything “incriminating” in those files for any public US figure, including trump. But there might have been VERY embarrassing, which may have been deleted leaving slightly embarrassing for trump.

He already said it was all a hoax.

It can be both. He’ll just repeat anything and everything and let the MAGAts decide which lie they want to believe.

That or the good Republicans* are so cowed by MAGAts and their god-emperor they dare not move against them.

Honestly, I won’t believe anything comes of this until it actually comes. I mean, I thought Trump was toast when he dissed a gold star family in his first campaign. Then when he was being investigated by Comey, and Smith, and Mueller. I’ve gotten more cynical since then.

*Snerk.

The amusing thing there is that Trump donated thousands to Democrats, has pardoned Democrats of crimes, was friends with Bill Clinton, had somewhere between 20-30 acquaintances charged by the Trump administration - and arguably would have himself been charged, if it wasn’t for Presidential immunity.

And, of course, he has connections with Epstein, John Cassablancas, Tevfik Arif, George Nader, and the McMahons - a strangely large list of people who have connections to child sexual assault.

Well, look if you oppose him, you get death threats and are primaried out. The danger is real.

No, anyone paying attention knew better than to believe the claims of WMDs. Just as everyone paying attention knows that Trump is implicated for something or he wouldn’t be acting the way he is.

Plus, he’s a rapist. Of course he’s guilty of preying on girls, it’s what he does.

Having passed through that country… I’d suggest not. And as the majority of Nigerians I meet in South Africa are are short but extremely muscular gentlemen involved in the drug trade, particularly cocaine…

Zero stars. Would not get involved.

Off topic, but what? I mean, sure, divorce happens. I, myself, am divorced.

But three (3) further marriages??? Is this not the “family values” party? Unless family values involves multiple families, perhaps.

Oh wait… Trump himself is not terribly good at the “swearing an oath” part of the marriage.

I have no idea if this belongs in this thread, but if there’s a better thread, point me to it or feel free to repost.
Anyways…more pictures of more people. Woody Allen, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and, for some reason, this:

Blatant false advertising is definitely on-brand for Trump.

While trying to figure out what ‘Fishs Eddy’ is, assuming it wasn’t the silverware company (it was), I learned that one of those condoms has been in the Smithsonian since 2016

A very Merry Trump-Epstein Day to all who celebrate!

They’re already wiggling out of what they, by law, need to provide.

https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/5656765-blanche-says-doj-wont-release-full-esptein-files-to-congress-by-friday-deadline/

From your article:

He said there was no ambiguity with the law and what the law requires to be released. Trump “has agreed to comply with this law” and Bondi “has to comply with it,” and there will be penalties if she does not, Massie said.

“This is a very unique situation. … This is a case where the president who appointed the attorney general and for whom the attorney general works has signed the law and the ink is not even dry yet on his signature on this law,” Massie said. “There’s nothing subject to interpretation.”

I’m curious what those “penalties” are. I found this other article:

While the law gives the Justice Department 30 days after Trump signed it to publish the files, there is notably no mechanism to enforce the deadline or seek punishment if the deadline is not met or if lawmakers argue some redactions are improper.

I know that “Contempt of Congress” is a misdemeanor offense, and I’d think that could possible apply here. But who would be charged with that?

Bondi. But who would enforce it?

It could be enforced the same way it was enforced on Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon, I guess. Though that was a very long process and followed a refusal to respond to subpoenas.

My guess is that if the DOJ drags their feet on this, the consequence will be a lot of complaining until they get around to finishing it. As long as all the documents are delivered eventually, that’s probably all that will happen.
