“Lifetouch is owned by Apollo Global Management Group, an assets management firm co-founded by billionaire Leon Black, a key source of Epstein’s wealth.”
“And, while Black has since stepped down as Apollo Global Management Group’s CEO, new details about his relationship with Epstein revealed recently – along with the company’s new CEO, billionaire Marc Rowan”
Just a child rapist buying a child photography company and then passing it off to his buddy who breakfasts with another child rapist they’re mutual friends with. Nothing to see here.
Yes. Neither of them have anything whatsoever to do with the day to day running of one of the many companies they manage the assets of. They did not “run” Lifetouch. Do you understand how an asset management company works?
Nor are either of them a “child rapist” in fact as said here-
The “either of them” I was referring to are Black and Epstein.
The files contain multiple descriptions of child rapes committed by Black.
If you’re going to claim that Epstein wasn’t a child rapist, then I don’t know what to tell you.
Oh, so the pedophiles own the company that photographs millions of children every year, but they don’t run it. I guess that makes it OK! You should trust them with pictures of your children!
I referred to two people in that sentence, Black and Epstein, as child rapists. You responded;
I never claimed Rowan was a child rapist. He may be, but that’s not in evidence yet. Your statement is incorrect.
Correct. Black, who rapes children, ran the company that owns the company that takes pictures of children, and it is now owned by Rowan, who is friends with two people who rape children.
I understand that child rapists and their associates shouldn’t be CEOs of them if they own companies that take pictures of children.
This is a good question. If the 3 million (give or take) Epstein documents being withheld are simply duplicates of those already released, then why not release them so that people can verify the DOJ claim for themselves?
And that’s the essence of it: no one really believes that DOJ claims can be trusted.
The default theory is that the withheld 3 million documents are those that are MOST dangerous to Donald and his donors. And the DOJ isn’t going to do anything to disprove this theory—they’re just going to go on making unverifiable claims.
I think the fallacy here is that someone with a deviant sexual interest in under-18s finds everyday photos of school-age children titillating. I suppose it’s possible, but seems unlikely.
Prominent Americans with apparent ties to Jeffrey Epstein — including President Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick— have so far largely kept their positions of power.
Note that Lutnick has admitted going to Epstein island, so it is more that a slight tie or allegation.
A worry today might center not around the photos themselves, but on how they might be employed by AI to create ‘new’ content featuring that particular child’s face and/or body.
Not something we had to think about even a few years ago, of course.
And IMHO even when they are because it’s not easy to define in a way the LLM can process which images can be generated and which cannot and even if they can process they are not (again IMHO) reliable in obeying the restrictions.
I’m not taking a side in this fight, but I just want to point out that the problem people have with the whole situation isn’t that a pedophile will use AI to make pornographic pictures based on the photos, but rather that billionaire pedophiles will use the pictures like a menu.
This probably belongs in conspiracy theory territory and I hate that my brain even went there, but this company does more than just take photos, am I right? Do they gather the names and addresses of these kids to send the pictures to later?
For all we know, this was like a sears catalog for these sick fucks.
At least there is a rational-ish CT logic to that extrapolation.
This whole thing keeps expanding beyond what we would have ever thought as absurd though. I do worry that if we keep giving credence to everything anyone ever mentioned, it may get to the point that regular people will go beyond the “well f&$( it, we can’t go after EVERYONE ever mentioned” position to the “oh nevermind” position.
One alleged- altho the allegations are better than many- guy ran the asset management company. He had nothing whatsoever to do with the day to day running of Lifetouch.
I think we’ve had enough of the side discussion on Lifetouch. It’s not exactly off topic, but it’s a pretty tenuous link, and doesn’t seem to have enough evidence (at least not yet) to be something that would backsplash much on the Trump administration (the subject of the thread). It may well be worthy of it’s own thread (hint, hint) but I think that the strength and weakness has been about as hashed out as it can in light of this thread based on current cites. If new information comes to light with a more concrete link with political consequences to Trump and supporters, then we can reconsider it.
