What’s the name of the actress who is playing the new nurse?
She looks very familiar.
It seemed Romano was a bit taken aback by her spunk. I’m glad there’s someone he can’t intimidate. I especially liked the line about how she likes working at County…the pace is a bit slower, you can catch your breath.
It was Linda Cardellini, of the late, great Freaks and Geeks and the live-action "Scooby-Doo movie. She played Velma. (No, I didn’t see it voluntarily, I have kids.)
Romano is no longer cute with his rants. He’s showing racist colors, and even though Dr. Pratt was holding his own during the exchange, I really wanted a smack-down to be laid on him by somebody. And I really hated him for humilating Abbey. I miss tough-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside Romano.
Oooh, lots and lots of Luka. rowr Does anyone else think they’re setting it up for Luka and Abby to get back together, or am I just totally reading it wrong?
When is Carter supposed to come back? I’m starting to miss him.
What I want to know is does ANYONE at County ever have a relationship with someone NOT working at the hospital? Except for Jeannie and Lydia*, EVERYONE dates their coworkers! What’s up with that? I highly doubt that occurs in a real hospital.
*Jeannie (the PA with HIV) and Lydia (one of the nurses) both married policemen. Go figure.
As I recall, Jeannie (actually, Jeanie, according to imdb) dated Peter Benton for a while, and when her diagnosis came in, he had himself hastily checked.
I suspect the Romano character is headed for a major comeuppance (it seems to me that some of the staff are increasingly unintimidated by him) that will either cause him to repent or leave the hospital. I find it unrealistic that he hasn’t been fired already for the behavior he has displayed thus far.
Gosh, I thought getting his arm sliced off by a helicopter blade was a major comeuppance. How many does one character need? Oh never mind, we’re talking Romano.
Major spoiler ahead… don’t read it if you don’t want to know. You’ve been warned. I’ve read on the TWoP boards that in an upcoming episode Romano kills himself. I wanted to remain spoiler-free, and someone posted this without spoiler tags by accident.
Paul McCrane, who plays Romano, was run over by Kurtwood Smith near the end of RoboCop. What made the scene particularly memorable was that McCrane had been throughly doused with toxic waste a few minutes earlier so he stumbled around blindly with his skin peeling off, and when Smith’s car hit him, his body disintegrated in a big red splatter.
