vs. gravity.
Woohoo, another pointless text update which doesn’t contribute anything to… anything.
I should stop reading for a while. It was a lot more fun to read when you could click “next” and something would happen.
The tower is finally coming down. That’s something.
But I admit to engaging in wild speculation to pass the time. Ossomer will rescue Slately on his carpet. Parson will arrive just in time to be hit by the falling tower. Jack will stage a one-man performance of Cats. Gaah. Who knows?
The text updates are not supposed to contribute anything to the main storyline. At all. Whatsoever. They’re filler, that adds background detail. They don’t move the storyline forward.
Huh. I didn’t know It Don’t Come Easy was by Ringo Starr until this comic.
So, Janis didn’t know that Jojo wasn’t working for Parson, but she did know his name?
up close vs at a distance?
I had to look up the Avedon reference which I hadn’t seen before; that’s kind of neat. Kudos also for the PT Barnum reference in the last panel.
Somebody’s Luckamancy seems to be working overtime…
Anyone else think we’re going to get some hot lesbo action between Sylvia and Artemis, after the latter gets decrypted? I’d be a lot more excited about that, if both didn’t seem like stuck-up bitches.
Yeah, I hope that’s explained. Either we’re seeing the Titans directly intervening, which is way too “deus ex machina”, or there’s something else going on here.
Likewise I’ll be curious to find out how Jojo knew so much about Parson’s plans and background - not just where he’d be and when, but where he came from and how to send him back.
Now THAT was a text update!
Charlie?
That would have been my guess, too. The new cartoon says he used to be part of Unaroyal. I still want to think that Charlie’s involved.
Vanna was another Unaroyal caster. Charlie paid for Faq to hire her. So he could’ve certainly contacted Jojo too.
Possibly, and many people seem to be assuming that. However, like Vanna, he presumably cannot be working directly for Charlie.
So, is he currently a barbarian, acting on his own, or is he working for someone? If so, who? There’s no indication that Faq hired him, and Jetstone and Transylvito seem to be too strapped for cash.
Janice describes him as a free Carneymancer, presumably meaning that he’s not currently officially hired on with anyone. So either he’s hired on with someone secretly (is that possible?), or someone’s paying him under the table somehow. And of course, “someone” almost has to be Charlie (directly or indirectly), since we’ve seen no evidence of anyone else who’s so savvy.
Parson finds the Thinkamancers quite diverting, and the rest of us go “Gaaah! Now what?”
site is down for me
