ESPN is reporting no charges for FSU's Jameis Winston.

So much ignorance in this thread. There’s zero evidence she was raped and has been show to enjoy multiple sex partners on the same night. Text messages revealed she cheated on a test and social media proves she chased after athletes. She was proved to have lied on multiple occasions regarding the toxicology reports.

It’s obvious at this point she didn’t want her family knowing she was dipping in the chocolate so she claimed rape.

The title Ix billshit is just though - she refused to corporate for 20 months and then brings it out during the football season. She’s just dragging the entire thing out to get an eventual payday.

I think that this article by Dan Wetzel pretty much covers all the bases.

He notes also that:

He explains quite well why all the vitriol being heaped on the woman is so disgraceful, discusses many of the details of the case and the actions of the woman in question, and argues:

And he concludes:

This is pretty much the position i’ve being taking in this thread. I take no position on whether on whether Winston is guilty or not, but trying to defend him by shaming the woman is cowardly, disgusting, pathetic, and contemptible behavior engaged in by the very worst sort of gutter-dweller.

The only thing Wetzel gets wrong is the idea that the defense of Winston has ‘descended’ into anything. This thread proves that the anti-woman element was there all along, and it’s not an accident. People who attack accusers in rape cases are actively trying to deter women from coming forward with sexual assault allegations, particularly those against powerful men. You can believe Winston is innocent without doing those things, but if you’re trying to doxx the accuser and dredge up everything she’s ever done in her life to attack her character, you’re doing that deliberately. The ugliness and deterrence angles are a feature, not a bug.

I think it’s quite appropriate to attack the character of Erica Kinsman. Just as the idiots who claim that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States are rightly mocked, Erica’s story about being ‘raped’ by Jameis Winston is also worth of scorn.

The basic facts of the incident are that Jameis had a girlfriend but was also having sex with Ms. Kinsman from time to time. After one of those encounters, Jameis had to leave because his girlfriend was coming into town. While it’s unknown if Erica knew about the girlfriend prior to this, Erica freaked out. Subsequently, she had several versions of her story, about being drunk, taken advantage of, not knowing Jameis prior to the alleged rape, and so on. I imagine Erica heard endless seminars at FSU about 1 out of 4 college women will be raped, date rape is the most common form of rape, and other such nonsense. I think Erica came up with the rape charge as a method of revenge.

It doesn’t help the Erica’s aunt is an attorney. As Jameis became famous for his play during FSU’s 2013 season, not only the thought of revenge occurred to her, but also an opportunity to ring the register and get paid.

While the Tallahassee police didn’t do the best job of investigating the alleged crime, most of this was due to Erica’s constantly changing story. She had sent clear text messages during the time she claimed she was drunk or drugged, pictures emerged of her and Jameis prior to ‘rape’ night, and so on.

Title IX has been in the news and the Department of Education has said they are going to be enforcing it enthusiastically. So, even after the police decided there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute, Erica and her attorney decided to put that pressure on FSU. The threat of a civil suit is also out there, which will be filed to conveniently interfere with Winston’s NFL draft timing.

There’s no doubt Winston is a self entitled jackass, but that doesn’t make him a rapist. Erica Kinsman has taught him a very important and probably expensive lesson about women and high stakes athletics.

The next phase in the witch hunt is now scheduled for the week of November 17, when Jameis will face a disciplinary hearing to determine if he violated the student conduct code. Naturally , he won’t be told of the exact charge, just that he faces up to 4 counts of sexual misconduct and endangerment.

It’s too bad Erica has already left FSU. She’s the one who should be facing the disciplinary committee for charges of lying and slander.

It was PROVE the girl has lied now what? 1, 2 3, maybe 4 times? keep believing what you want and let her hide behind the cloak of “shield laws.” Remind me again, how many semen samples did she have on her that night? Was she proud and forthright regarding her “black boy” boyfriend?

Was she a member of a group whose sole purpose was to chase athletes? Did she or did she not claim she didn’t know him prior to the rape when evidence refutes that?

Anyhow, continue the witch hunt. The TPD and the DA, whom has a record of “holding FSU football players to a higher standard” couldn’t even find evidence to bring a charge let alone convict.

If only one could choose the people who root for one’s team…

sigh

I’m quite happy Winston’s attorney named Erica Kinsman as the accuser on Twitter this week. If Erica wants to play hardball, it’s time she learned that you can get beaned in the head with a fastball.

From the way he played against Georgia Tech, I knew that this situation was over; this is just official confirmation.

His accuser does have a few more days to file an appeal, but I’d surprised if that happens.

Winston has been cleared by the FSU student conduct committee. Does Erica Kinsman proceed with her civil suit and prove herself to be a gold digger? Or, will she show some dignity and let the matter rest?

A beautiful attack on Erica Kinsman from Winston’s attorney. Calling her attorneys “investors” and reminding people of her early extortion attempt.

Good god. Will you PLEASE shut the fuck up?

Signed,
'Nole Nation

Look, I’m…not displeased…with the Judge’s ruling. Not because it means Winston will play. The appeals process ensured that was going to happen anyway. I just happen to think that, under the circumstances, it was the correct ruling. This case boils down to he said/she said. Had TPD done their job properly that might not be the case, but they didn’t, so here we are. With that said, had the preponderance of the evidence shown that Winston did what he was accused of, I would want him thrown out immediately and fuck the playoffs. It ain’t worth it.

No, I won’t shut up. Kinsman is the one who deserves the scorn here. She’s a liar and if she’s going to bed crying at night, I’m happy. If she wants to try to extort money, then I’m eager for the slut shaming.

Yip, that’s why if a black person does something I find distasteful it’s okay for me to call them a nigger or a gay person a faggot.

Being okay with slut shaming is misogyny. There are no excuses. What you have stated is vile. Even in the unlikely case you are right about her, and it’s not just a lack of proof thing, I’d still sooner hang out with her than you.

Since when is misogyny defined as a hatred of gold diggers? Gold digging women have always been a problem in high level sports and entertainment. The problem is only going to get worse with the extra spotlight on the NFL. Notice how quickly Ray McDonald was cut by the 49ers? No charges filed, of course, just a nasty attack from a gold digger. Even a feel good story, like Bengals practice squad player Devon Still, has been ruined by the gold digging Channing Smythe.
If Erica really does file a civil suit, I’m hoping Winston defends himself vehemently and if that involves telling the backstory of FSU CleatChasers and the behavior of Erica with multiple partners, then that’s the way it’s got to be. Hopefully Winston and his attorney won’t cave in and pay her to go away. I’m quite sure Kobe paid Katelyn Faber to go away, even though he claimed no money was involved.

I’m guessing that “enjoying multiple sex partners on the same night” is not a temptation that dgrdfd will ever have to face.

Unless we count the left and right hand separately, maybe.

So impartial Former state of Florida Supreme Court Justice couldn’t even hold him accountable for code of conduct violations. But FSU and TPD still covering up right?

Bet that mean, big black boy indeed raped that poor white girl, right? Only court to ever convict him is that of public opinion.

I bet the nonsense is dropped anyway. People ONLY cared about getting Jameis off the field and not whether a girl was really raped. In fact, many actually hoped she had been raped just to get him off the football field.

It’ll be interesting to see if Winston does indeed enter the NFL draft this year. He didn’t do himself any favors in the Rose Bowl, although he was far from the only reason FSU lost,

If he does return for another year at FSU, that would certainly throw a monkey wrench at a possible civil by Erica Kinsman. She can still sue, of course, but having to wait an additional year isn’t probably what she has in mind. If Winston can lay low, the negative publicity will wear off. Kinsman will have a hard time winning the civil case and would be less likely to demand extortion.

Sorry for my personal comment above, dgrdfd. That was inappropriate and uncalled for.

I have no idea whether he raped her or not, and unless you were hiding in his closet that night, you don’t either. What I object to strongly is the insinuation that her previous sexual history (much less her history of possible academic cheating!) makes her accusations inherently less plausible than they would be if she were (as far as the public knew) a chaste and virginal straight-A student. That’s misogynistic and fucked up.
