European Cup Final 2018. Real Madrid v Liverpool

Goodbye Karius and probably goodbye Mignolet.

Unbelievable.

Ramos’s ripping off Salah’s arm worked like a charm!

The Benzema goal was straightforward bad sportsmanship. Bales goals were spectacular. I think Karius was unlucky.

I don’t agree about Benzema. Benzema stays back as long as possible for the purpose of preventing Liverpool from starting its break. It’s precisely the risk of what happened that forces goalkeepers to slow down before distributing the initial ball. Karius knew this, but took the chance that Benzema wouldn’t kick his leg out. Not very smart and probably led to his second screw up.

Think Ramos tackle on Salah was intentional?
They had no idea how to stop him before that. Their backline was creaky and porous. I would have seen 2-3 goals conceded.

Salah expected to miss the World Cup.

I texted my friend that it should have been a red card when I saw the replay. Looked like an MMA move to me.

Sad. Egypt soccer fans must be devastated.

Now they are saying that Ramos elbowed Karius in the head before the keeper became Mr Butterfingers.

100% intentional to drag him down by his arm. Did he intend to injure him? I dunno, Ramos is a scumbag thug so it wouldn’t surprise me, but I think Ramos was just trying to stop him in the moment.

Real shame for the final, both for injury and two of the goals. Although it would be interesting to have both the best final goal and the worst final goal in the same game.

Karius had suffered a concussion. He should have been subbed off, as awful as it would have been needing to sub off Salah and Karius.
