If you’ve considered trying out the game, now would be a good time. Just be prepared to weed out the ISK (i.e.: gold) sellers in the Rookie Chat channel.
ETA: I wonder if this means there won’t be anyone asking where to get Villard Wheels anymore.
Also, that newsletter is pretty old. They’re changing things again soon.
They’re planning on revamping the skill progression for new characters in mid March. Instead of picking race/professions and starting with 800k SP; they will start with ~80k skill points, their skill gain rate will be doubled until they reach 1.6mil.
It will allow them to raise their learning skills quicker but it will also mean they can no longer jump in to a tier 3 frigate from the very start. A mixed blessing…
