Maybe I should start with borrowing a set of bagpipes, then gradually work my way down to a violin, thus making it less irritating by contrast.
Or, I could, y’know, try and find out if there’s times he won’t be in.

Yeah, there’s that option…
The hutch is gone and we’re $75 richer! I thought I’d listed it for $50, so this was a nice surprise. Yay!
You know the story of the optimist, the pessimist, and the engineer?
As applied to pizza:No leftovers just means you didn’t buy enough pizza.
Agreed. Nuked pizza crust is capital-Gross. A plate in the oven on 200ish works too. Although I prefer mine cold, at least for breakfast. That keeps the oil congealed rather than running down my arm. If somehow it survives to dinner time I’ll warm it up for that. Dinners should be hot.
No ,it means I completed my fitness challenge. “Fitness whole pizza in my mouth.”
Howdy Y’all! I did go deheathenate this mornin’. It’s icky, rainy, and cold out but I’m glad I went. ‘Twas a nice service and I needed the reminder that it is still Christmas. Also, the pound cake is in the oven and the peas are soakin’. Go Me! I picked up burgers from Booger King for N.O.L. Next up, peelin’ N.O.T. and gettin’ N.O.T. sallit ready. Also I shall get the collard greens cooked. Lots to do to get ready for tomorrow’s feast.
doggio I would so want a set of flamin’ bagpipes!
Since we scored on selling the hutch, we decided Red Robin should feed us. Their clam chowder ain’t that bad!
I just finished cutting up a poke loin - one hunk is sitting in teriyaki marinade for supper, one roast and 4 chops are in the freezer for future meals. Go me! **FCD **unloaded the kids’ stuff from the trunk of the Sonata, and now he’s gleefully watching the Redskins being spanked by the Giants.
I think it’s time for some crochetin’.
:dubious:
Today is Christmas 2.0 chez moi. I’ll be starting prime rib in an hour and slow cooking it after browning it. Mashed N.O.T., Butternut squash, in a manner to be determined, corn, and green beans with mushrooms and pine nuts.
I’d like to make a chocolate mousse cake for dessert, but I need to find a good recipe.
For now, I have cats and coffee. I’ll work up the energy to get started somehow.
Forgot to mention we saw Jumanji yesterday. It was light and amusing. I recommend.
Major cookage has been accomplished. Go Me! Next up will be the makin’ of comestibles upon which to sup. I am commencin’ to get a bit hungry.
Poke roast just went into the toaster oven. Sides will be crescent rolls and I’m thinking peas-n-carrots. Crochetin’ continues.
Took Dristan, Ny-Quil and Aspirin last night, it must have worked since (1) I feel much better and (2) I slept until damn near 9am. May try it again tonight.
Had a gift card from my Texas nephew to Olive Garden, so I stuffed myself there. Waiter must have been new or didn’t have a lot of tables, since he was checking in on me every 3-4 minutes (or so it seemed). I appreciate the attention, but let me eat dinner, please-just keep me hydrated.
Supposed to be in the single digits tonight and into tomorrow, so I guess I’d better leave a faucet dripping (even the newspaper recommended it) so the pipes don’t freeze.
Catch all y’all in 2018.
@**Sunny **& swampy: Wow. Y’all’r doin this up proud. I just pulled some homemade chicken cacciatorries out of the freezer. Once they soften a bit they’ll go in the pot to warm & serve over pasta w a fresh salad and an insouciant little red.
Had a nice lunch out w SIL & niece. She leaves for overseas again on Tue and life will return to normal for us all. Had a good email exchange w #2 bro; he’s hard to catch on the phone. All well there too.
As the sun sinks behind the trees the day, week, month, and year draw to a close. Hope the next one will be better for everyone.
The fireworks have started. I hate it. We are staying in as it’s our 34th anniversary. Hubby is cooking and I can’t get warm even though it’s in the 70’s. I think I may be coming down with a small cold dammmit. Tourons always bring the crud with them.
Happy New Year everyone and all you Sickies feel better soonest.
I think I shall medicate.
We have supped and we are stuffded. A really good NYE feast it was. I have a feelin’ we will not make it to nine p.m. much less midnight. All in all not a bad way to end the year I reckon.
If we are all lucky. :dubious:
It’s already 2018 here, so nyah.
I debated starting a new MMP, but the fireworks have stopped, and I’m sleepy, so g’night and happy new year all!
Roast beast is still roasting. Today toddles on.
My fever-racked brain read it as Cyrillic?
Other than that just been chilling – literally and figuratively. A couple things today and early tomorrow are cancelled so I don’t even have to consider if I am well enough for any of it. The annual Snowball Run motorcycle ride is officially off but a couple people may do it anyway. Not the best idea; I learned the hard way that these new aluminum heads do not handle temps under 20 real well. On the good side I may pick up some side cash in the next month replacing seals for anyone who does try it.
You could aspire to play like Jack Benny (who really was accomplished when he didn’t try to screech his way thru it.)
It snowed yesterday. The roads were all clear, but not curb to curb. The car thermometer said 12°! At first my eyes were tearing up from the cold & then my glasses were fogging up, but I didn’t want to take them off, figuring they were offering at least a little bit of protection to the only exposed skin. This made it hard to see in the turns where you go close to the curb & where it was sloppy. Not fun.
After I finished I went a few feet to the table where they had bottles of water. I grabbed a bottle but I had problems drinking it. Eating it, no problem, drinking it, not so much - it had frozen in the few minutes that they had pulled them out & set them up.
At one point some guy passed me; then I realized he had one shoe & one blade! I passed him back w/ about a mile to go & he ended up being the next finisher after me, albeit 10-15 seconds back. When he finished I said, “Nice job”; he said, “You, too” we fist bump & go our separate ways. Later when I go to go into the building he’s coming out & he freaked me out a bit; he was wearing warmup pants & two shoes & carrying his blade. Took me a second to realize he obviously had two prosthetics.
[del]Nyah[/del] Happy Gnu Year to you, too.
I’ll take the new MMP.
From penguins w/ white lips?
I should save this and may copy it but -----------
only if he had tartar sauce on his fish sandwich?
