Has there been a time where you’ve invoked your rights with the police or other law enforcement authority? How’d it go?
I fought The Man, and I won. Got a parking ticket thrown out of court on due process grounds.
The judge agreed that the city’s form that officers filled out when issuing a ticket failed to comply with statutory requirements for a citation. Prosecutor slowly realized that every single parking ticket issued in that city over the course of many years had the same problem.
