Ever had a dream that actually could pass for a decent story/song/movie

I had a super weird experience with this. I had a dream that ACTUALLY BECAME a series on Netflix shortly afterward.

In my dream, my dad came to my family and told us he heard about this great rejuvenation procedure which was supposed to make you feel young again and solve all your medical problems. So he went into this facility where we were supposed to go pick him up at night. But he called us and said something went very wrong and we needed to pick him up in the back of the building. For some reason, we picked him up in a box truck, like a small moving truck.

When we got there, we found him and another old guy, looking nearly dead and drained. We put them in the back of the truck and I rode with him and talked to him about what happened in the procedure. While we were having this conversation, the other old guy died. He told me at some point he realized they were going to let him die and he ran away and called us. The rejuvenation procedure was actually a cloning process and now there was a clone of my dad out there, only younger and healthier, and the clone was going to take over living my dad’s life.

That’s about where the dream ended, and I woke up thinking that was a great premise for a Sci-fi movie. Then about a month later, this Paul Rudd series came out on Netflix called “Living with Yourself” with almost the EXACT SAME PLOT. I am still creeped out by the whole thing.

I also had something kinda related that happened in a dream once, that feels borderline supernatural. So I had this poem I had to memorize for a speech a couple days away in English class. I worked hard right before bed and made sure I had memorized the first 2/3 of the poem, but I barely looked at the final 1/3. (I had read it before, but didn’t spend any time trying to memorize) When I woke up, I found I knew the entire poem by heart, word for word perfect.

Years ago I had a dream that I still remember. The plot could be the basis of a decent children’s movie I think. It was about Santa Claus, but the twist was that his toy-making operation was housed in a fleet of ships that traveled around the Pacific Ocean. The idea of him living at the North Pole was deliberate disinformation that he promulgated to prevent people from discovering the Santa Fleet.

Yes!

.

Wish I could remember it…

(Long, convoluted spy thriller with a murder involved. Woke up, went back to sleep for Part II… damned if I can recall any of it.)
