Ever had your (sincere) apology rejected? Tell me all about it.

Sorry to hijack, but can add a little perspective to the OP. I rejected a sincere apology a couple weeks ago from a fellow co-worker. He gave me a case of Smirnoff (I love this she-at!) along with a long drawn out apology enclosed in a card. He cited that he was sorry for what he said and stated reasons why he said the things he said.
I gave back the Smirnoff and threw the card away. Things were said that I feel cannot be taken back or excused. I’ve forgotten the episode, but I won’t forgive it. We are on good terms again as I do value the effort he made at reconsilation. I understood why he said the things he did. There was some truth to it. So I don’t think that I for one deserved an apology.
But the other things really pissed me off and he wouldn’t of said it if he meant it. Even if he was just “Stressed” out at time and nicpicking. Thats why I won’t forgive him. We can move on, be professional and civil to one another.
