Okay, I went to the aforementioned Cursive and Appleseed Cast show last week and all I can say is, “Wow.” Cursive’s new album, The Ugly Organ, is amazing. The added cello brings a lot of depth to the music and the lyrics are stunningly scathing. The short track, “Some Red Handed Sleight of Hand,” gives you an idea of what the album brings. Taking Back Sunday pales in comparison to this.
The Appleseed Cast was great too, but they haven’t made any new music in a while, so it was just a treat to hear them live.
