Every reason etv78 is a moron, from his own OPs only, since 12/1/12

An exchange from earlier in the day :

Well, fuck that. You are a fucking moron, etv78.

Has any thought been given to “Degoogling” the board? (IOW-not make it searchable on Google) IMO, that would zombie resurrections, and “drive-bys”. And yes, I know I’m anal about “zombies”.

If I ran an NFL team, my policy would be: Out for rest of game, deactivated for following week (unless headed into bye).

How would my Post Per Day rate change if my abscence is taken into account? (IOW-my PPD for only the time I’ve been an active member)

Does it seem that most visual artists have their So as their primary muse?

I misplaced a notebook, I thought at the Stop and Shop near my “Y”, but I just got a call from the Citizens Bank attached to it. (oddly I do my banking w/Citizens, but never use this branch). Also occured to me: How’d they get my phone # (I only use a cell)

Do astronauts feel the pass of time while in orbit?

How much did the Dust Bowl exacerbate the Depression?

  8. It’s an odd thing to be “anal” about, but I guess Google indexing did indeed increase the chances of a newbie finding and bumping an old thread. I assume this also means that more newbies find their way to this board, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

  9. I’m not familiar with the terminology he is using in that context; “deactivated”, “into bye”? Besides, don’t NFL teams typically only play once a week during the regular season? So is he suggesting that if a player gets ejected from a game, he must also miss next week’s game? There aren’t that many games in an NFL season (16, I think) so this doesn’t sound like a particularly good policy.

  10. Does he mean not counting days when he wasn’t posting here, i.e. if he doesn’t post on a given day, that day doesn’t count for the purposes of calculating his “posts per day” total? Well, I suppose that might be calculable, if useless, information. Maybe he can suggest it be added as a feature to future vBulletin releases.

  11. Assuming “So” is significant other… Well, I’d expect that person to be important (significant, if you will) in the artist’s life, but unless someone has compiled “primary muse” statistics (or defined what a primary muse actually does) the question needs expansion.

  12. So he’s asking questions about a wacky anecdote that happened to him? Somebody found the notebook at the bank’s door, carried it into the bank and turned it in, and some bank employee found etv’s cellphone number on file. Not exactly Scooby-Doo material.

  13. This is the only item in the list that I’d consider a truly silly question. I suppose maybe there’s some deep nuance that escapes me, but superficially at least, it looks like a gross misunderstanding of time dilation, or someone under the impression that since old movies and TV shows sometimes used slow motion to suggest zero-gravity, this is what real astronauts actually experience.

  14. I think this the only thread in the list that I actually read at the time it was started. It’s not a dumb question - wondering, I guess, if the “dust bowl” was due to weather patterns in the mid-1930s and aggravated the ongoing economic problems - but I seem to recall other posters presenting interesting arguments that it was the other way around; that poverty and desperation forced short-term farming methods that destroyed topsoil and effectively created or at least greatly aggravated the dust bowl.

cool story bro

Do you even lift?

Note the thread title: Is this a reasonable concussion policy. Deactivated means that the player would be not be on the active roster for the following game (due to lingering concussion concerns), unless the team has a “bye”–that is, the one week in the 17-week NFL schedule during which a team doesn’t play.

Concussions are a legitimate concern, but this thread is typical half-baked, half-ass etv78 nonsense. He makes no effort to find out the current league policy, makes no arguments for or against his position, and just throws out two poorly written sentences on a topic which has already been heavily debated. He’s not one of the sharper tools on the Board.

Huh, all this time I thought the term was “getting a buy”, when one gets automatic advancement in a tournament.

Anyway, I just assumed hrhomer quoted the thread titles correctly, indicating my level of commitment to this discussion, which is why I didn’t know it was about concussions. I’m okay with mocking etv, especially in light of his posts in the thread quoted at the beginning of the OP, but I freely admit I’m not putting my back into it.

In this thread “I’m new here” (2002), he complains about the “obnoxious, no purpose” responses to threads, citing this thread, which was one of the more humorous threads I’ve read recently!

It’s got a good beat, but you can’t dance to it.

Is this the new way to do pit threads? Say one thing in thread, and then say the opposite in the Pit?

In other words, you do know you could have just told him you opened a Pit thread, right?

I was going to respond but I think I will just rate your posts on the crap-o-meter from now on:

This post gets 3 craps out of 5: ***

Aren’t you about three years too early with this response?

I don’t even understand the words coming out of your mouth. I did, in fact, tell him. In a thread. For that matter, how do you know that I didn’t PM him, BigTard?

Must be BigT’s turn to use the computer at the group home this week.

Only thing he lifted was a imitation twinkie to put in his mouth :stuck_out_tongue:

English, dude.

Yes. Yes it is. Please take notes and pass them around the class.

Etv78 really is an asshole.

check out this thread where he calls someone a ‘spoiled brat’ for no apparent reason. I’m still wondering what that was all about.

I think he lives in the city that sprawled up around the Alamo. That is the only reasonable explanation.

Why would you argue with a guy who admittedly gets off on trolling?

There’s no “arguing with.” He doesn’t participate in threads like these if they’re about him, which is fine. And he can be two things, both trolly, and stupid.
