Apparently, things are looking hopeful for yet another remake. At least Raimi/Tapert/Campbell are onboard, so the result shouldn’t need a boomstick to put it out of it’s misery.
I dunno, Bruce is getting a little old to pull off Ash. I’ll still buy the collector’s edition, but I’m a little nervous.
From what I’ve read, Bruce wouldn’t be playing Ash. Nor will Raimi be directing. Nor will this be a good idea.
This only has a shot in hell of working if:
- Bruce Campbell stars in it.
AND
- Sam Raimi directs.
Okay, if the Coen Brothers do it in Place of Raimi, they might be an acceptable substitute, but no one else.
