Why the hell are all of these nuns (who are supposed to be close to God) so damn angy all the time?
The answer is simple:
THEY AREN’T GETTING ANY!
Freud said that sexual frustration accounts for a lot of psychological problems…
There’s nothing like adding your name to a thread you just know is gonna get locked.
I’ve known some damn fine nuns. Wonderful individuals, really.
Taking particular orders or vows does not make a person incapable of experiencing the full range of human emotions.
Since even the most surly nuns I have met were quite capableof being cheerful when their chains weren’t being yanked, I guess the real question is
“Why is clay_e constantly irritating the nuns?”
(If you want a serious discussion here, clay_e, why don’t you provide some reference to some information that makes you draw the conclusion that “nuns” are “angry all the time.” The “meanest” sister I ever knew turned out to be a really delightful person when she wasn’t being charged with holding a class of 48 young hoodlums to the task of learning.)

Even if clay_e does return to elucidate, this doesn’t sound like a Great Debate. We’ll see how it does in MPSIMS.

a.) Highly unlikely that you’ve met many “nuns,” as nuns are cloistered and therefore wouldn’t be available to show you their anger. “Sisters,” maybe.
b.) I’ve known one or two angry sisters, but most of the ones I have worked with are great people with fantastic senses of humor.
Clay, why is it OK in your mind for you to generalize about this large group of people? Have a bad experience with a particular “nun”? Any other sentence with the form you used (“All ____s are ______”) would be seen as racist and/or discriminatory, as it should.
