My friends still find that commercial entertaining.
It’s one of the oldest commercials currently running. IMHO, it was funny once or twice, but not now!
If that’s the case, why didn’t they have the guy lick the VW logo, in the shape of the V and the W? That’d leave a much stronger impression.
An even stronger ad would be if he whipped it out and CENSORED
Imagine that!
Even better, he could rapidly flick the tip of his tongue back and forth right at the base of the V for several seconds, pausing every now and then to say, “Oh yeah, you like that? I know you like that.”
Or he could take a dump on the driver’s seat. That’ll mark that territory but good.
