I think Ed is a raging Editor who isn’t quite reconciled to the fact that moderators and members and guests are not on the payroll. There are people who do not suffer fools gladly, and then there is Ed, who does not suffer fools. The Pit is filled with fools. That and I don’t want the Pit cleaned up more than it is.

My brother already works for a jackbooted government agency of repression. If I were a mod in the pit, he’d then have to top me by taking over Mexico or something.

Considering the subject and recent Pit threads, I think it was a foregone conclusion that this would end up as a criticism of the board or staff. I also don’t think Skald the Rhymer meant for the thread to turn out that way, so I’m going to close this and suggest to Skald that he maybe start a new thread like it in a few days after things have settled down.
