Exploration/Adventure Flash game I can't remember

Hi all. I’ve been trying to remember a game I played about 5 years ago. It was done in an intentionally old-fashioned 8- or 16- bit style. (I can’t quite remember.) It’s extremely minimalist. It’s essentially a side-scrolling maze on multiple levels. Your avatar is essentially just a stack of red pixels. As you explore, the camera slowly zooms out revealing more and more scenery, which is quite lovely. The crude art style allows you to fill in a lot of details. The overall feeling of the game is quite sepulchral.

The premise is that you’re stranded on a dead/dying planet and you need to start up a series of generators to get off. The main level has a broken dome over a city that goes underground that you need to explore with snow. Within its bowels are 4 teleporters to the other levels. I can only really remember 2 of them. One is what looks like a giant alien carcass you have to crawl through. The other is a series of islands floating in space with a sun lighting them from behind, looking something like a Yes album cover. I also think one of the levels is forest themed……

I thought the title was something like “Lonely Planet” or “Dead World”. Searching for those and variations thereof haven’t turned up anything like what I’m looking for. Does this ring any bells for any one?

Small Worlds. I played it too and found it incredibly engaging.

Just played it and “beat” it… thanks for sharing!

Thank you Bosstone! it’s just as I remember it. Remarkably simple, amazingly engaging.
