When you do finally get in, email me, and let’s get together for lunch or something. I’m on break, so I’ve got time to spare. Plus, my younger bro (the lurker, rincewind) is in town until the 4th, so you could meet him, too.
Well, I’m here. Finally. 36 hours, four cancellations, two delays and one rescheduling later, of course, plus an unplanned overnight visit in Dallas and a side trip to Los Angeles.
God did not want me to move. (Either that, or it was a test to make sure that this really was what I wanted to do.)
I’ll post more on the most traumatic trip of my life later. Needs must get used to west coast time now…

Welcome to town Esprix! Where did you settle in? I’d guess Hilcrest, but that would be horribly stereotypical of me. Sorry you had so much trouble crossing the country, but you couldn’t really ask for better weather now that you’re here. Too bad about all the earthquakes though (wink, wink). I’ve had to rebuild my house over a dozen times this year alone (wink wink). Be sure to mention the earthquakes prominantly whenever talking to your frozen friends back on the East coast. 39 million people in California is enough!
Welcome to California Esprix! I think you’re gonna like San Diego. They’ve got good weather and fabulous beaches with the cutest surfers and sailors. Have fun, but pace yourself.
Things are swinging my way for a change - job lined up, going for a car loan today (have a line on a Neon from a friend in LA)… and, of course, the boys. Several. So far. God I love AOL.
