This is just an off-the-wall suggestion, but why not trade computers? I mean, if she’s going to have two of them… unless her husband really needs the other one. I dunno, it just seems like a good solution so you won’t be high and dry. Anyway, best of luck to your friend!

Well, I’m still sans laptop, which is good news- she’s still hanging right in there. She apparently is having something like pre-term labor contractions- she’s not dialated, though so all they can do is give her medicine and watch her and hope for the best. In about 1 week she’ll be at the 6 month mark, which is good. Her spirits are pretty good, and she’s staying strong. Thanks for all your good thoughts- keep 'em coming!
I hope everyone had a great holiday- mine was pretty good, as holidays go. I got a gorgeous emerald/diamond ring and…a saxophone!! I am loving the sax- and I’m already signed up for lessons. It’s coming along pretty good, as I’ve played the flute for most of my life (they’re very similar).
I miss everyone, but I’m enjoying “Real Life” quite a bit. I hope all is well for you guys. I sent your wishes along to my friend, and she was very grateful. She’s kind of a shy type, so she wasn’t very interested in getting on the boards and posting (although she may be lurking, I’m not sure). She still thinks that message boards are scary and internet friends are potentially dangerous. Oh, well. Different strokes, right?
Have a great New Years celebration, everyone- remember not to drink and drive. I want you all here when I return
