F****** Pearl Jam Just Made Me Cry

It happened while I was driving home from lunch listening to their cover version of the song “Last Kiss” . This is one of those songs whose melody I knew quite well, but from where I wasn’t sure. I’d never listened to the lyrics before. Sure, it’s from the tacky bloody-teenager car crash genre of pop songs, but, man it got to me on the way home.

There there. There there.

Don’t feel bad, it made me cry the first time I heard it too.

Damn you, Eddie Vedder!

The first time I heard it, I almost cried because* Pearl Jam had covered such an awful song.

What’s so awful about it?

Donna worry me a hendro, everythina gonna be aghlright now that Papa is home!

I can tell you why I don’t like it. Aside from the guy getting his girlfriend killed in a car accident, and then blaming it on God, they try to rhyme “said” with “while”, which is a bit of a stretch.

I’m with you homebrew. It was awhile before things were OK between Eddie and I again.

My baby’s in love with Eddie Vedder
Head over heels for that Eddie Vedder
Once she was mine but now I better just forget her
'Cause my baby’s in love with Eddie Vedder

I hope I didn’t just waste my 200th post on that. . .

You mean Pearl Jam made good music after “Ten?” I don’t believe it!

Eddie Vedder has worked with Neil and Tim Finn on the 7 Wolds Collide CD and DVD. Eddie and Betchadupa have a kickass version of I See Red on the cd and dvd.

Hey! Another statement to add to the “If I had a buck every time I heard…” thread!

The video for Jeremy made me cry a few times…
