Until the last couple of days, Facebook had the Fried Request, Inbox, and Notification icons to the left of the Search box. Now they’ve moved to the right. I don’t ‘live’ on FB, so it’s not really a big deal. But if I happen to have the page open, it would be nice to have the icons back where they belong so that I can see them while I’m working in another window.
Is there any way to do that?
DAMMIT! I specifically (thought I) backed out of ATMB so I could post in GQ!
Fried Requests. Mmmm… Sounds yummy.
That change happened with the advent of Graph Search. At least, it looked like it to me.
No idea what ‘graph search’ is. I just use google.
OK, so it sounds like it is how it is.
Any way? I’ve never checked it out, but people tend to suggest a web browser add-on called Social Fixer for stuff like this.
Generally speaking, Facebook tightly controls their look and feel, and you have to turn to third party, browser based tools if you want to do something different.
If you use Facebook enough, any changes they make are completely jarring. And any changes they make become old hat after a day or two.
With all your questions about Facebook and all you assertions about how you don’t use Facebook, I think you’re using it enough now to get over the changes soon enough
Oh, I use it. Just not to the extent that almost everyone else I know who uses it, uses it. My use is clicking a few 'like’s on things friends post, and sharing of subset of same. It seems like everyone else is spending much more time there than I am. But then, I don’t have kids; so I don’t need to post their daily activities. If I used it to the extent that all the Cool Kids do, I wouldn’t have any questions.
