On my work laptop and home desktop everything’s fine.
On my phone it usually only loads a couple of posts and then nothing. And in a lot of cases it says “Can’t connect.” But I have plenty of data, and it happens when I’m connected through Wi-Fi.
I’m typing this right now on Wi-Fi and never have connectivity issues with other sites. And I just got the “Can’t connect” message.
Any ideas why, just fairly recently, Facebook (and Facebook only) is crapping out on me? I don’t post a lot, but I like to read.
This happened to me. Something got turned off. I remember I had to go into settings on my phone and turn whatever it was back on (something to do with continuous feed). Unfortunately, I can’t remember what it was I turned back on.
You might try to go to apps manager and do a “force stop” and see if that works.
Faster notifications, maybe? I found zero benefits of the Facebook app, especially when they forced people to download Messenger as well. What’s the point of an app so big you have to divide its functions?
Using the browser and desktop view you have access to so much more I never went back to the app. (Now that I’m off FB entirely I don’t miss any part of it, but that’s a rant for another thread.)
