I keep getting a message at the bottom of the feed that says:
Something Went Wrong
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.
It won’t scroll down any farther.
Right now, it appears after only one “Get your facts about voting” ad. Sometimes, it will let me get through a page or two. Rarely, it doesn’t appear. Groups still work fine.
Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know why this is happening?
I get it all the time. It’s annoying.
Because Facebook is a pile of garbage.
Are you connected to WiFi? There is a setting on your phone that protects you from exceeding your data allotment by blocking you from data streaming unless you are on WiFi. So, you can see the stuff that was already there before you left WiFi, but you cannot stream in more stuff until you reconnect to WiFi.
This is on a PC connected to a land line. I only use my flip phone for phone calls when I’m not home.
I’ve only seen that when my internet connection isn’t stable. It would mean it lost connection to the Facebook servers, and couldn’t download the next bit.
Other reasons it could have trouble connecting include some bad cookies, a bad interaction with an extension (ad blocker), malware hogging the connection, out-of-date browser with bugs, corrupt browser profile, and so on.
Most (other than the malware) can be eliminated by seeing if the problem occurs in another browser.
